MEMOROLL

MEMOROLL Press Kit

A notes app that is ready the moment you open it — and never syncs. Your notes stay on your phone.

MEMOROLL is a notes app built around one idea: the moment something comes to mind, you should be able to write it down. When the app opens the cursor is already in the input box; there are no titles and no folders. Each note records its time and, if allowed, its place, so notes can be looked back on in a timeline, by day, in a calendar, on a map and through search. There is no account, no sync server, no analytics and no ads. Notes and photos stay on the device; a copy goes to the user’s own iCloud Drive, and everything can be exported and imported as a ZIP.

About the icon

The icon is a natural sign (♮) — the musical symbol that cancels sharps and flats and returns a note to its natural pitch. That is what MEMOROLL tries to do for notes: take away the account, the sync and the feed, and leave the note as it was written. The natural sign is also the mark of RESONANCE, the company behind the app.
